Having worked at NASUWT since 1998, Dr Patrick Roach has recently stepped down as the union’s general secretary, a position he held since 2020. 

He spent his career fighting for teachers’ rights and working hard to end the injustice of racial inequality within the school workforce. 

Patrick has recently been awarded CBE in the King's Birthday Honours for a lifetime of service to education.
