With more than two decades of experience supporting children and young people with severe, profound and complex learning disabilities, James is a nationally respected leader in specialist education. 

James has helped shape SEND policy through his work with government advisory groups and sector organisations, while pioneering innovative curriculum and assessment approaches. 

He has recently been selected to sit on an expert panel to develop national inclusion standards as part of the government’s major SEND reforms.
