Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson has delivered a speech at the Embassy Education Conference, highlighting the value that international students bring to the UK, and welcoming more partnerships with countries around the world.
Phillipson said: "I am determined to make Britain the international home of opportunity.
"So I want genuine partnerships with countries across the world in higher education and beyond.
"We already have deep education partnerships with countless countries around the globe, and I want to build more."
Phillipson added: "While this government is committed to managing migration carefully, international students will always be welcome in this country. The UK wouldn’t be the same without them."
New data from the Youth Sport Trust’s annual Girls Active Survey has found that girls with multiple characteristics of inequality are being left behind in PE and school sport.
Nearly three-quarters of teachers (72%) say the current SEND system fails children, yet more than half (56%) expect anticipated reforms to negatively impact SEND pupils with complex needs.
Over a quarter of all schools and colleges across England are taking part in the free National Education Nature Park programme, which sees young people create nature-rich spaces on school sites.
