Education technology charity LGfL-the National Grid for Learning, has launched a free online Cybersecurity Training for School Governors, designed to equip governors with the knowledge and skills needed to oversee and strengthen their school’s cybersecurity practices.
Attacks such as phishing, ransomware and malware can have devastating impacts, from breaches of confidential information to disruption of teaching and learning, compromising student safety. As governors play a central role in setting policy and ensuring accountability, it is vital they understand the risks and how to mitigate them. In line with LGfL’s commitment to supporting educators everywhere, this training provides governors with the knowledge and skills to navigate this complex area.
Training topics include Cybersecurity fundamentals, school-specific risks, governance responsibilities, best practice, and emerging threats.
This essential training will give governors the confidence and expertise to ensure their schools remain safe, secure and resilient in the face of growing cyber challenges.
