Queen’s Birthday Honours list includes 108 individuals for contributions to education and children's services
Individuals who were awarded includes: Sir Kevan Collins, chief executive of the Education Endowment Foundation received a Knight (Kt) for services to education; Sue Robb, national head of Early Years, 4Children was awarded a Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to children and families; Norman Goodwin, chief executive, Adoption Matters Northwest, received a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to social work and adoption; Jenny Boyd, headteacher of Rosewood Special Free School, Southampton, won a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to special education and Ms Bridget Cluley, trustee, Hope and Homes for Children and Fundraiser, Divisional vice president and trustee, NSPCC was awarded British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to children and families.
Chris Wormald, Department for Education Permanent Secretary, said: “Congratulations to those who have been recognised as part of the Birthday Honours list for their contribution to education and children’s services this year. Their achievements and dedication are helping to improve the lives of children and young people, and raising educational standards across the country, so that every child and young person can fulfil their potential.”
